106.9 KROC & Clements Subaru ‘Share the Love’ Recipient in Rochester

106.9 KROC and Clements Subaru is sharing the love in Rochester. If you're not familiar with Subaru Love Promise, here it is:

So what better partnership than to collaborate on Random Acts of Kindness with 106.9 KROC and Clements Subaru! We asked our listeners to nominate yourself or someone who you would like to see receive a random act of kindness. We have received incredible stories and are excited to share about our first recipient, Kathy Plantz.

Kathy was nominated by Christa Keehr, her daughter. Here's what Christa had to say about her mom:

Hi Danielle! I love listening to you on the radio. You're doing an amazing job, and I still can't thank you enough for all you did for my Hannah banana. I keep hearing the random acts of kindness nomination on KROC, and I really want to nominate my mom. She was the rock of our family when Hannah was diagnosed, because my dad, her husband, was diagnosed with colon cancer just three weeks after Hannah. Not only is she an amazing mom and grandma, but she also works with her local sorority to do all sorts of amazing things for the community. She also has worked in the school district for over 18 years with at risk teen moms, and now in her current job as a para for special needs kids.

Kathy is one of the many people we want to share the love with! It's people like her that really enhance others lives including the community. Christa and I were in close contact as we planned the surprise RAK for Kathy. At the last minute, Kathy almost made plans to be out of town the day we did this! Christa quickly intercepted and whew - we were able to pull off this incredible surprise. Check out Kathy's reaction below.
