If You Have Extra Winter Outerwear, We Need It!
According to the United Way of Olmsted County website "Last year, 1,662 individuals felt the warmth of a caring community by receiving a winter coat through the annual Community Winter Outerwear collection."
It's collection time again, so as you change out your closets, put away all your summer clothes and start taking out fall and winter clothes, please keep this in mind if you find things that your family has outgrown, or maybe you got new coats on clearance at the end of last season, or whatever the reason may be, if you have any winter outerwear items (not just coats, but hats, gloves, boots, scarves, mittens - everything that keeps you warm!) that you'd like to donate, you can check out the drop off locations below!

They also say If you need a winter coat and do not have a student attending an Olmsted County school, contact The Salvation Army at 507-288-3663 or go to The Salvation Army Service Center (20 1st Avenue NE, Rochester MN 55904) Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. (closed from 12 p.m. - 12:30 p.m.) to get a voucher for a winter coat.
