Two Twin Cities establishments have been named among the 100 best bars for brew.

There's nothing my wife and I love to do more together than search for new places to eat and drink, and then sample any of their local brews along with it.

Sometimes we get lucky, other times we strike out.  But anytime we see any list of the top "xyz" come out here in Minnesota, we always try and make a stop to check it out if we're in the area.

released its annual list earlier this month, and
The Happy Gnome in St. Paul and
Republic in Minneapolis made the magazine's latest top 100!  In the
Republics case, it has made the list for the fourth consecutive year:

In case you're wondering what The Happy Gnome has to offer, you can expect to enjoy 89 drafts to choose from an extensive mix of local and national breweries.  Whether you prefer sour, hoppy or the seasonal brew, this place has something for everybody!  It's also not hard to miss, as you'll see a ton of gnomes figurines throughout the restaurant.  Eat, Drink & Be Merry!

Built five years ago, the Republic's has slightly more taps (100) while also featuring the latest national breweries to hit the area, as well as the best beers in the local market.  It also has 16 tap lines dedicated to cider that are “well curated and change often,” the publication notes.

So if you're up for a short road-trip this summer, be sure and hit up one if not both of these home-grown businesses.  I know my wife and I will!
