This weekend's Rochesterfest events includes the second annual Rochester Hangar Dance.

The benefit for the Minnesota Veterans and Emergency Services Museum will take place on Saturday at the Rochester International Airport in General Aviation Hangar C beginning at 5:30 p.m. That's when the doors will open and mess hall food and a cash bar will be available, along with displays featuring vintage vehicles and aircraft.

A free professional swing dance lesson provided by the Dahl Dance School will take place at 6:30 p.m., followed by the opening ceremonies at 7 p.m.

The dance floor will be open to all starting at 7:30 p.m. featuring live music from the Generation II Big Band. Everyone is encouraged to dress up in 1940s attire and prizes will be awarded for the best period clothing for both civilians and military members.

Tickets for the dance are $20 and can be purchased through the Minnesota Veterans and Emergency Services Museum website or by calling 507-280-9970.

Leading up to the dance Saturday evening, the Commemorative Air Force will fly in four World War II airplanes at 9 a.m. The B-25 Mitchell Bomber, PT-22 Ryan Recruit, BT-13 Valient and L-5A Sentinel will be at the airport for tours and rides until sunset.
