What is the hot new toy this Christmas season?

It's the most wonderful time of the year!

I don't know about you, but ever since I was a kid flipping through the Sears and JC Penney Wish Book catalogs this has been the most exciting time of the year! All the hot new toys come out at Christmas.

Remember Tickle-Me-Elmo and the Furby and Teddy Ruxpin? Remember Arnold Schwarzenegger battling Sinbad across Seattle to track down Turbo Man? Good times, good times...

Friday, KRCA 3 anchors Teo Torres and Deidre Fitzpatrick talked to Adrienne O'Hara from Toys 'R' Us about this year's hot new toys. You can see that video here.

Obviously, this Christmas is all about Star Wars. The Force Awakens opens December 18th. A whole new generation will be introduced to the characters. One of the hot new toys for the year is an interactive R2-D2. O'Hara says that you can find the 'droid you're looking for for about $150. Another site lists it for $569!

The same site shows another hot Star Wars toy, the Furbacca. It's a Furby mashed with Chewbacca.

KCRA only took a couple minutes to run down the hottest toys of the year. One of them is a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Leonardo jumbo figure that folds out into the Turtles sewer lair. That does look pretty cool!

Other hot toys include Jumbo Talking Minion Dave; a Light Changing Anakin Skywalker Lightsaber; Lego Dimensions Starter Pack; and the Nintendo Amiibo.
