Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The over 3600 volunteers who participated in the 10th annual Litter Bit Better campaign in Rochester collected over 9 ½ tons of trash during the past couple weeks.

The annual spring cleanup effort brought in almost 6.6 tons of burnable trash, 2.1 tons of recyclable metal, tires and electronic waste, and about one ton of recyclable bottles, glass, cans and cardboard. The waste was picked up at 400 different public property sites throughout the community, including parks, school grounds, and roadside ditches.

The 2015 Litter Bit Better campaign collected almost 11 tons of waste.
