6 Underwear Mistakes That are bad for your Health
Time to consider commando... or not??!!
Ladies, as if buying underwear weren't hard enough as is, now we find out we've been doing wrong OUR WHOLE LIFE!!! Here's the biggest mistakes we make.
I feel so lost right now! Do I wear underwear, or do I not? If I do, which ones do I wear? This list from Huffington Post is for both women AND men! If you figure out what we are suppose to do, please share the secret...
- 1
Underwear That's TOO Tight
That includes Spanx, ladies!! It can cause chafing, and can actually be DANGEROUS if it's too tight leading to pinched nerves and decreased circulation.
- 2
Wearing Thongs
According to one expert, quote, "Thongs can be a unique transport vehicle for bacteria from the back to the front." Meaning, E. coli from your backside can spread to your lady parts . . . Whaaaaat?!! Gag!
- 3
Silk and Synthetic Fabrics
They don't breathe well, and that increases the risk of moisture being trapped, which can cause a bacterial infection... Seriously?
- 4
Going 'Commando'
Apparently the ONLY time you should go 'commando' is at bedtime!! Why? Because most clothing doesn't have a liner, so the seam of your pants will irritate sensitive areas, but at night time, you gotta let it all air out!!
- 5
Sweating and NOT Swapping
If you sweat a lot, you should change your underwear twice a day. A warm, moist environment is the perfect place for bacteria and yeast.
- 6
NOT Using Non-Hypoallergenic Detergent
Your nether region is a sensitive area, so even if you don't have sensitive skin, it's smart to use non-hypoallergenic detergent. If you get itchy down there, it might be because your detergent or dryer sheets have too much perfume in them.
