7 Cars Damaged by Fires at Vikings/Jets Game

You've probably seen the Allstate commercial where "Mayhem'" wreaks havoc on the football tailgate party. That scene unfolded in real life at the Vikings game last Sunday. Hot coals from two separate tailgate parties were blamed for fires that resulted in 7 vehicles being damaged.

Vikings fan Gina Smith was one of the victims. Smith told the Star Tribune that she had no idea until after the game, “It wasn’t until the game was over and we went to go find a car where we were like, ‘Hey where’s our car? It should have been right where this burned out junker is … oh,'” Smith said. “No one gave us any information, but there was someone’s grill right on our car, so we could tell what happened.”

Authorities are still investigating. Luckily no one was injured.
