My inner 12-year old is going nuts right now!

According to IndieWire, Warner Bros. Animation and Amblin Television are developing a new version of Animaniacs!

After its recent surge in popularity on Netflix, (mostly by me re-watching some of my favorite episodes) the beloved 90s cartoon and its cast is making a comeback after two decades of captivity.

For those not familiar, the series featured three out-of-control children — the Warner Brothers, Yakko, Wakko and their sister Dot.

Along with the Warner siblings, Animaniacs also introduced the world to Pinky and the Brain, a pair of lab mice who devoted their lives to world domination. Those two would later go on to have their own spin-off show.

But don't worry about some no-name up-and-comer taking over the franchise. Oh no, those same reports are also saying the original developer of the cartoon, Steven Spielberg, is expected to work on the reboot as well!

It's still said to be early in development and doesn't have a network attached yet.

Without the Animaniacs, I never would have learned my state capitols!

Believe it or not, the show was a helpful learning tool for me back in the day with several episodes devoted to many useful learning experiences.

But are you down with an Animaniacs reboot, or are you content with re-living the magic and nostalgia on Netflix as it is?
