A Cat Was Named ‘Dog Of The Year’ For Saving A Kid From A Dog Attack!
The SPCA in Los Angeles gave out their 'Dog of the Year' award last week... but apparently not a single canine was deserving, so they gave it... to a CAT.
Yup, you read that correctly. The winner was a seven-year-old tabby named Tara, who saved a four-year-old kid in Bakersfield, California last year from a DOG attack. The video of it went viral, so they broke tradition, and gave it to her instead. On top of winning the award, it comes with a year's worth of cat food. Dog's everywhere have got to be loving this... Ha!
Plus, last year Tara threw out the first pitch at a baseball game!
For the record, I'm all about recognition when someone (or animal) does something heroic... But that last video was stupid.
