A frigid final week in February

This is going to be a cold week

for all of Minnesota with below average temperatures in the forecast all the way into next weekend. The National Weather Service says the coldest temps are expected Wednesday through Sunday with overnight lows dropping into the minus 5 - 10 degree range and highs will only be in the single digits. For the Rochester area, this is already the 7th coldest and snowiest February on record based on weather figures as of yesterday.

The record snow that hit the city last week has left roads in very rough shape and the same goes for most of the area highways. And because of the cold weather this week, it may be awhile before conditions improve.
