ABC 6 News Launches ‘ABC 6 News at 6:30’

‘ABC 6 News at 6:30' will debut September 14 and be anchored by Betsy Singer.

KAAL-TV News Director David Springer said, “This unique format creates the opportunity to give more time to the big stories of the day and expand coverage on timely topics.  Betsy will be supported by the ABC 6 News team to add more depth and context to key stories with local and regional impact. We are excited about being the first TV station in this market to make the commitment to provide a continuous hour of local evening news coverage from 6 to 7 PM. ”

The new show will follow the ‘ABC 6 News at 6’ with James Wilcox and Laura Lee.
