Rochester, MN  (KROC AM News) - For the second time this week, a Rochester elementary school was the victim of a bogus bomb threat.

This time it was Washington School, located along 11th Avenue NW a few blocks east of John Marshall High School.

The school district says it received an automated telephone call just before 10 a.m. Wednesday threatening an imminent explosion at Washington. The building was evacuated for nearly an hour during a search that turned up nothing suspicious.

Other similar threats were apparently received by other schools around the country about the same time.

That was also the case on Monday when Rochester’s Ben Franklin School was evacuated after a bomb threat was received.
