The Minnesota Court of Appeals has rejected a Rochester woman’s challenge to her sentence in a child-abuse case.

23-year-old Kanishka Molina was given an 86 month prison term last summer after she entered an Alford plea to a first-degree assault charge and the judge in the case determined she was not amenable to treatment. Molina was accused of physically abusing her infant twin son and daughter, causing both children to suffer numerous broken bones.
