AlarmSystemReviews.com, just published a list of the 15 safest cities in our state.

The website only looked at towns having a population of at least 2,500 people when they compiled the list. They used data from the FBI, the Census Bureau, and the Federal Emergency Management Agency to come up with the rankings.

Using that information the website ranked Plainview as the safest town in Minnesota. Plainview's crime rate of 2.4 offenses per 1,000 residents was best in the state.

The only other area town to make the list was Winona. Winona was named the third safest place to live in Minnesota.
