Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A man has been arrested as the suspect in a recent violent assault in Rochester.

It happened last Monday night at the Homestead Motel site along Marion Road.

A spokesman says officers called to the scene found a 52-year-old man suffering from a broken arm. The victim said he was drinking with a friend when he got into an argument with another man at the residence “over a beer.” The victim says he also confronted the man after he patted a woman on the rear. The victim says the man pulled out a knife but he was able to take it away. He says the man then picked up a piece of wood and struck his arm, causing the fracture.
