Art on the Ave is an annual spring art fair showcasing local artisans and musicians in Slatterly Park.  Art on the Ave is an initiative to promote the arts, encourage walkability and attract Rochester citizens to downtown neighborhoods. This year’s event will be held on Saturday May 16th, from 9:30 am until 4:00 pm, on the 400 block of 11th Ave SE, near the intersection of Shell Gas Station and St. Francis Church.

The event features painters, glass blowers, metal workers, jewelers, musicians and a plant sale.  The highlight of the event is unveiling the installation of a permanent boulevard sculpture, which will be the tenth public sculpture brought to Slatterly Park Neighborhood. To celebrate this milestone Rochester Trolley & Tour Company will also provide free tours of previously installed boulevard sculptures located within the neighborhood.

Locally designed T-shirts with this year’s theme: Gratitude, will be printed on-site and made available for sale.   Food and drink will be available for purchase from the People’s Food Coop, and Grand Rounds Brewpub will also provide beverages for purchase, no carry-ins please.
