I was born and raised on the north side of Minneapolis. My first radio job was at a Mom and Pop radio station in Aitkin, Minn., where I had duties as the night DJ/janitor and went on to become Program/Sports Director for an AM/FM Combo. I took a break from radio work from 1993 to 2006. I then came here in December 2006 and moved up to afternoons in 2007. I later did early mornings from 2008-2013. I have hosted the morning news hours and done the midday show since then. I am a big Twins and Vikings fan. Basketball and football are my favorite sports to do play by play. I like fishing, especially ice fishing, and I spend a lot of time in playing the part of a 1840s buck skinner at various Rendezvous around the state. I enjoy talking to people about our stations so feel free to share comments.

SE Minnesota Toys For Tots Awarded
Southeast Minnesota Toys for Tots was named National Campaign of the Year for 2017.
In 2017, 14,507 toys were donated and distributed to 7,751 children living in Olmsted, Dodge, Winona, Wabasha, Houston, and Filmore counties.
Northfield Says Wastewater Entered Cannon River Tuesday
An Advisory was issued from the City of Northfield, for the public to avoid direct contact with the Cannon River downstream of Northfield, after a broken PVC pipe at the treatment plant sent about 1 million gallons of wastewater into the river.
Community Rallies Around Fired Longtime Volleyball Coach
As Gordy Kosfeld you Monday, Franz Boelter, longtime volleyball head coach at Bethlehem Academy in Faribault was fired on Friday, based upon accusations by some students of 'stories of mental abuse.' He has been at the school for 25 years and has a record of over 700 wins. He was also the Varsity Boys Basketball coach with 613 victories.
Southern Minnesota Winter Storm Warning Update for Monday
Update: 1/21/18 Blizzard Warning added for some areas of southern and southwestern Minnesota
A portion of the Winter Storm Warning has been upgraded to a Blizzard Warning from Mankato to the south and west, including Fairmont and St. James. The Winter Storm Warning was expanded, slightly southeast. A Winter Storm Watch remains in effect from

Well Known Guthrie Actress To Ply Scrooge In Some Performances This Year
Actress Charity Jones who has been in many other Guthrie Productions, will play Scrooge in performances on Nov. 26 at 7 p.m., Nov. 30 at 10:30 a.m., Dec. 6 at 7:30 p.m. and Dec. 13. According to the Guthrie release she will be playing Scrooge as a male character.
Update: Missing Hastings Person Found Safe
Update: 22 year old Amanda Jean Olsen has been found safe in an apartment in River Falls Wisconsin. She was found during a welfare check about 10:12 p.m. Monday and was returned to her family in Hastings.
Fire Destroys Historic Spring Valley Building
The Fillmore County Sheriff's office said that they responded to a fire shortly before 3am Monday at a historic building in Spring Valley, that housed Johnny Ringo's Bar. The building dates back to the 1870's and is on the National Register of Historic Places
