This week I was running errands with the kids. One of those errands was donating some toys that the kids no longer use to Goodwill. After we completed that task, the kids saw some Halloween decorations in the window and asked to go inside. Imagine my surprise when I walked in and saw brand new Halloween costumes! As a parent, this is like striking gold because we all know how fast kids grow out of costumes. If you decide to shop at the Goodwill, consider going through your house and donating items too. Here's the items they accept there.

Did you know that the Goodwill serves a purpose?

Serving Minnesota for nearly 100 years as a leader in workforce development, Goodwill-Easter Seals Minnesota provides education, job training and placement services to eliminate barriers to work and independence. Revenue from 45+ retail stores, along with other contributions, supports programs throughout MN. Our “donate-shop-reuse-educate-employ” model diverts over 50M pounds from landfills annually and brings us one step closer to a world where everyone experiences the power of work.

If you've got some time on your hands and feeling adventurous, you could make your own costumes too.

Here's some costumes I thought were pretty cool:

(Let's not leave out our fur babies)

How about some unicorn make up?

Cute couple idea, some scare crows!

This one made me chuckle. So cute!
