The Vikings have known since January who they’ll play and where in 2016, but now we know who their first opponent will be as they break in their fancy new stadium.

Pioneer Press
heard rumors a while back that it will be a Sunday night game... and why not?  The last time we saw these two teams they finished the 2015 regular season against each other at Lambeau Field on a Sunday night - A game the Vikings left victorious in a 20-13 contest, while also taking the NFC North title back to Minnesota for the first time since the 2008-09 season.
(Update: This Sunday Night game has been confirmed.)

If that's not enough to get you excited, the Vikings will also play in Detroit against the Lions on Thanksgiving!  Despite being division rivals, they last played on Thanksgiving day way back in 1995.
