According to the Collins English Dictionary, "binge-watch" topped the list of new word we're using this year. Binge-watch means to watch several episodes of a program in a row. We're using that word a whopping 200% more this year than we did last year! Here are some other words that we're using this year:

Swipe, moving one's finger across a touchscreen.

Ghosting, ending a romantic relationship by not responding to another persons attempts to communicate. I'm surprised that the term I've been using, Swifting, did not make the list. Swifting is when you express your hurt and pain over being dumped by writing a Number One song about the person that has rejected you.

Shaming, embarrassing someone by drawing attention to what is perceived as wrong, especially on social media.

Dadbod, an untoned, slightly plump male body, especially one that is considered attractive.

Are you using any of these new words? I know I use "binge-watch". My wife is constantly complimenting my "dadbod"... You can see the other words that have been added to our vocabulary this year here.
