Byron, MN (KROC AM News) -  A Byron teenager was ticketed Saturday after crashing a car into a farm tractor.

The incident happened around 3 p.m. at the intersection of 10th Ave and 7th St NE in Byron.

The Olmsted County Sheriff’s office says a car driven by 18-year-old Jacob Torgerson crashed into a rear wheel of the tractor, which was pulling a wagon. The wheel came loose and the collision caused the driver of the tractor to hit his head on the side of the cab. He was knocked out for a short while and taken to St. Marys Hospital to be checked out. The driver was identified as 22-year-old Garrett Rabehl of rural Byron.

Torgerson says he stopped and then began driving through the intersection when the collision occurred. He was given a ticket for failure to yield the right of way.
