Car Thieves Target Hondas in Rochester

Own a Honda? You might want to invest in a security device, like the club, in order to protect your vehicle. 

Rochester Police told ABC 6 News that Hondas can be easier to steal than other vehicles. The RPD is currently investigating ten recent car thefts - most of the stolen vehicles have been Hondas.

23-year-old Mok Moeun and 30-year-old Vesma Chan both of Rochester were recently arrested after being spotted in a stolen Honda and police think they could have been involved in other car thefts.

In August, the National Insurance Crime Bureau published their annual 'most stolen' list, the Honda Accord was the car most likely to be stolen followed by the Honda Civic.

Experts offer three simple ways to protect your car. First, lock your doors. That seems like an obvious tip, but many people still leave their doors unlocked, allowing easy access to thieves. Second, don't tempt burglars - make sure valuables aren't visible. Finally, invest in a security device like the club.
