One of the best ways to get yourself into the ‘holiday spirit’ is to attend the annual “Festival Of Trees” event at the Mayo Civic Center.    It’s the 29th year of this treasured community event which is a fundraiser for Hiawatha Homes.  Proceeds help provide quality support services to people with disabilities at home and in their community.  “Festival Of Trees” always takes place during Thanksgiving week.  This year it will run from November 26th through 30th, including Thanksgiving Day.

See the breathtaking spectacle of a hundred beautifully decorated trees.   Enjoy daily entertainment, visit the Gift Thyme Shoppe, have a tasty treat from the Holiday Café and bid on many wonderful Silent Auction items.  Santa will there too.

Hours for the “Festival Of Trees” are Wednesday through Saturday from 11am to 7pm and Sunday 11am to 4pm.  Cost is $5 for adults, $4 for tour groups and seniors, $3 for children ages 2 to 12 and babes in arms are free.  There are also various activities taking place each day.   Find out more here.

It takes a lot of work to set up the Festival  Of Trees, below is a time-lapse video of the set-up from a couple years ago.
