Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) -  Rochester Mayor Ardell Brede has selected the members of the Chateau Theater Reuse Task Force that will develop a plan for the future use of the historic downtown property.

Brede will serve as chair of the group.The only other elected member will be City Councilmember Mark Bilderback.

Other members include Rochester Civic Theater executive director Gregory Stavrou,Jenna Bowman, executive director of the RDA, Al Mannino, representing the Greater Rochester Arts and Cultural Trust and John Kruesel of the Heritage Conservancy Group.

The DMC’s Economic Development Agency also has a representative on the task force, as does Mayo Clinic and the Chamber of Commerce.

A total of 12 people will serve as members of the task force, which is expected to meet over the next 1 - 2 years. Its first meeting will be next Thursday - at the Chateau.

The City Council is buying the property for $6 million, which includes a $500,000 contribution from Mayo Clinic.
