Chipotle has announced that they are making some changes after an E. coli outbreak sickened more than 50 people.

The restaurant will now dip onions in boiling water to kill germs before they're chopped and raw chicken will no longer be marinated in bowls but instead in re-sealable plastic bags.

The Mexican chain based in Denver has previously admitted that it's use of "fresh produce and meats rather than frozen," may lead to a higher risk for foodborne illnesses.
