If you've ever worked with smokers you've probably noticed them going outside frequently to have a cigarette. For some reason they're allowed extra breaks during the day to satisfy their addiction while you're stuck at your desk working. Not fair, right? Well one company has decided to reward their non-smoking employees with 6 extra vacation days to compensate for cigarette breaks.I love this idea!

Last summer non-smoking employees at the marketing firm Piala Inc. started complaining about all of the extra breaks that people were taking to light up so the company introduced a new policy. Hirotaka Matsushima, a spokesman for the company, told The Telegraph: "One of our non-smoking staff put a message in the company suggestion box earlier in the year saying that smoking breaks were causing problems.

That's when the company introduced the extra days off policy.

The company said they hoped the new rule would inspire people to quit and so far it's worked. Four employees have given up smoking to take advantage of the extra time off.

Meanwhile, Rochester has new smoking laws in effect. Click here to learn about the new law..
