St. Paul, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Minnesota Court of Appeals has rejected an appeal in a case involving a Rochester man who was sent to prison for the 2001 murder of another Rochester man.

Two years ago, 61-year-old Leslie Treadwell was found guilty of second degree assault and first degree aggravated robbery for choking a woman and threatening her with a knife. The conviction resulted in a 93-month prison sentence.

Treadwell unsuccessfully argued the jury should not have been told about his 2001 conviction for the stabbing death of Joseph Bale, which carried a 15 year prison term.
