Public safety officials are already dealing with some traffic mishaps in the area as roads are being affected by the mixed precipitation that began falling earlier this morning.

The National Weather Service expects the rain/snow mix to continue through much of the day. The Weather Service says southeast Minnesota could get hit by a few inches of wet, slushy snow before it ends later today.Temperatures are expected to remain above freezing until later this afternoon so the snow may not be around very long.

Dry weather is expected tomorrow and Christmas Day with temps in the 30’s.
