Are you going broke paying for daycare?

According to childcareawaremn.org the average annual cost of daycare in Minnesota for an infant is roughly $8,320 and for a toddler is approximately $7,904. Those numbers seem high but are actually pretty low compared to the national average. According to a new report from The Care Index, the cost of infant care is now higher than the cost of college tuition in 33 states: $9,589 a year for daycare compared to $9,410 for college.

The good news from the study is that Minnesota not only ranks very low on price but also very high on child-care quality.

The Care Index 2016 is "the first comprehensive report on the state of paid child care in the United States based on cost, quality and availability of nannies, childcare centers and family daycares."  Explore the details, here.
