Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a deadly traffic crash that occurred late this morning near the southwest edge of the Country Club Manor neighborhood in Rochester.

Sheriff's Department Captain Scott Behrns issued a statement early Wednesday afternoon indicating deputies responded to a report of a traffic crash with injuries shortly before 11:30 a.m. When they arrived at the scene in the 4900 block of Country Club Manor Road West they discovered a deceased person at the crash site. Officials have tentatively identified the victim and are in the process of notifying family members.

The Rochester/Olmsted County Forensic Mapping Unit is investigating the incident. Additional information about what occurred is expected to be released Thursday morning.
