Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) -  The Rochester International Airport was busier than normal Thursday morning as a result of the stormy weather that hit the Twin Cities.

The weather forced six Delta Air Line commercial jets to divert to the Rochester facility.

A Rochester Fire department crew was called to the airport to respond to a report of a medical emergency on one of the diverted planes, apparently as a result of severe turbulence. Deputy Fire Chief Steve Belau says the person recovered and did not require transport to the hospital.

The diverted planes began arriving around 8:15 a.m. and began leaving an hour later.
