Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Department is investigating two residential burglaries that happened over the Memorial Day weekend and they may be related.

A spokesman says both happened in rural northwest Rochester - one at a house in the 100 block of River Bluff Lane NW and the other in the 1800 block of 67th Street NW, within a short drive of one another. Both showed signs of forced entry.

The loss at the house on Bluff Lane included jewelry valued at $15,000.  Missing from the other house were several firearms, jewelry and a TV set.  That loss was also described as significant.

Investigators are trying to determine if they may have happened early Sunday.

Anyone who may have seen something suspicious is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Department.
