Deputy Witnesses Assault in Moving Vehicle
A Rochester man punched his girlfriend yesterday - a punch that was witnessed by an Olmsted County deputy as they were driving down a busy highway.

The man’s 23 year old girlfriend was driving on Highway 14 near the West Circle overpass around 4:30 p.m. when she was hit by her 24 year old boyfriend.
The deputy happened to be in the next lane at the time and saw what happened. He pulled the car over and contacted Rochester police and the man was taken into custody.
The woman did not required medical treatment.
