It's an honest question, and I had to find out.

The only reason I bring this up is because lately I'm starting to A) lose more hair, and B) see more grays in the spots where I still do have some left. (See picture)

Last weekend, I was more or less complaining about both these factors to my parents all while thanking them for such great genes because my mom's dad was bald and so is my father (double whammy!) to which my mom replied: "Oh, that's what having kids will do to you!"

That's not the first time I've heard that. A lot of parents will tell you that kids will take years off your life... but they really?

Turns out the opposite is true.

According to a new Swedish study, having kids is linked to living longer. Researchers believe it might have to do with kids helping and providing care for their parents as they get older.

Having a younger brother, he and I have always joked with our parents that no matter how bad it got raising both of us it had to be easier than raising two girls.

So in case you're wondering whether this study took raising teen girls into account... it did.  And the gender of child made no difference, which definitely makes me feel better about raising my daughter Charlee.

However, I'm still not sure about how I feel with this whole salt & pepper look going on!
