Don't lose lose a limb on the job here because your missing parts aren't worth as much as they are in others states!

There are a lot of dangerous jobs in the land of 10,000 lakes, including farming mining, lumber, windmill-building and many more. After trials, but more specifically, errors that have taken place on dangerous work sites over the years, states have come up with the value of body parts; it's the payout you'll be getting if you lose one on the job. The thought of losing a piece of yourself on the job is as depressing to think about as the money you'll get from Minnesota!

Sad, right? It doesn't get any better if you lose an arm: $114,000 in Minnesota, while the national average is 169K! Losing a testicle is tragic news to a man, almost as tragic as the cash you'll get for it; $3750. That's $24,000 below the national average!

Iowa's the place to lose some limbs for lots of money. Here's the lost legs numbers for our neighbors to the south:

No info for the amount awarded for lost testicles. It's those missing numbers that'll drive you nuts! Of course, these are list prices based on past cases and insurance settlements, so it doesn't mean this is all you'll get if you find yourself in this position, but it's a good place to start!
