Just last week we got wind of an amazing gesture from a Dover-Eyota 2nd Grader by the name of Maggie McLaughlin. But on Wednesday she got to finally deliver the goods, and then some to a couple of high profile celebrities visiting her elementary school and classmates.

Carly and Jason Zucker started the #Give16 Campaign which is a fundraiser for the Zucker Family Suite and Broadcast Studio at the University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital. The suite will be a nearly 800-square-foot space for patients, families and friends to feel like they are escaping the hospital.

"The biggest thing is being able to get your mind off of what's going on there for even five minutes, if it's an hour or two even better, but for even five minutes to be able to take your mind off it and just to have some fun," said Jason Zucker.

Jason said they hope to have the studio ready by the start of next hockey season.

Maggie, who was treated like the real celebrity on Wednesday for the money that she raised for the campaign by having a "Hat Day" at her school this winter, got to show off her new friends to the entire student body:

So as you can see, not only did Maggie and her classmates raise $2,116.16, but they were able to DOUBLE the amount due to other donations by Rochester's businesses. Major Kudos to Maggie, the Dover-Eyota Elementary students and of course the Zucker's for making all this possible today!

If you would like to join Jason in committing gifts in the form of 16 ($16, $160, $16,000) for every goal he scores this year, please email give16@lolapro.co
