Over the last few weeks, they've been announcing the Down By the Riverside Acts, (the free concerts at Mayo Park, with nationally touring acts, and amazing local acts as the openers) and next Sunday is the first show of the season! All shows start at 7 p.m., and you can see the schedule below. Did I mention the shows are free? FREE!

July 10th
The Minneapolis based pop/rock/punk band Soul Asylum. You know them.  Remember "Runaway Train?" And all their other great hits?
**Opening act is The Shift (I love them! They are kinda like the band from the Tom Hanks movie "That Thing You Do," and it just makes me happy to watch them play. Especially the drummer, Taylor. He looks like he is having a blast the ENTIRE time.)
July 17th
Retro Rockabilly Band JD McPherson. Everyone says his music is like the second coming of rock n roll & he was one of the most talked about acts at "Rock the Garden."
**Opening act is The Dirty Banks out of Minneapolis. They are kind of a mix of dream rock and indie pop, and they just released a new EP. They are just awesome!
July 24th
Country singer Jon Pardi. You've probably heard his songs "Head over Boots" and "California Sunrise"
**Opening Act: Diesel Drive (One of the fastest-growing country bands on the scene. I feel like they've been playing everywhere lately and everyone loves them!)
July 31st
The Indie band Lucius. (Remember the show last year that was cut short due to severe weather threats? The band ended up doing an impromptu "unplugged" set for the die-hard fans that stuck around even after the show was called off! And all those lucky fans that stuck out the weather threats said it was AWESOME! That's this band! Yep, they're back!)
**Opening Act: Haley Bonar. She's killing it lately, and is touring all over the world!
 August 7th,
The Wailers. (The band Bob Marley formed and fronted until his death) You just know you'll here their reggae hits like “Is This Love?,” “Get Up, Stand Up,"  "Stir It Up," "One Love," "I Shot the Sheriff," and more.
**Opening Act: The Mark Cameron Band. He is an AMAZING Blues singer, that has fantastic live shows!

 August 14th
Rochester Concert Band and Choir
A 50-piece symphonic wind ensemble and 50-voice concert choir? I can't wait!
August 21st
Creedence Clearwater Revisited. You know a TON of their songs, like "Born on the Bayou," "Proud Mary," "Fortunate Son," "Suzie Q" and a whole bunch more!
**Opening Act: Crazy for You. The Heart tribute band. THEY. ARE. AWESOME. Just awesome.
