Faribault, MN (KROC AM News) - An elderly Faribault woman was killed in a two vehicle crash late Saturday afternoon in Faribault.

The State Patrol says 86-year-old Ruth Burkhartzmeyer was a passenger in a car driven by a 16-year-old girl that was hit broadside by a pickup truck on Highway 60 around 5:30 p.m. The State Patrol report says the deadly crash occurred when the teenage driver attempted to take a left turn in front of the pickup.

The 16-year-old suffered non-life threatening injuries, while the driver of the pickup was not hurt. The name of the elderly victim has not been released.
