Even Though It’s About America’s Birthday, Let’s Be Real Here, Fourth of July Is Also All About Fashion….
I've heard girls talking all week about what they are going to wear to parties, or more importantly, not knowing what to wear. So, I gathered some of my favorite Red, White, and Blue looks to help you out!
What to wear to a pool party, lake, or outdoor concert:
American Flag swimsuits are a no-brainer...
Muscle shirts and cute nephews? A sure way to get all the ladies at the party to take notice!
Your swimsuits don't have to be patriotic. Here I am with all of my cousins. As kids we always had a 4th of July pool party. I'm the one way off to the right in the RAINBOW CUT OUT SWIMSUIT that looks like she isn't really part of the party... and that maybe no one likes her...
The Classic "cook out" look:
Decide what works best for you out of red, white, and blue and wear one garment of that color to keep things simple and elegant.
Bonus points if your new baby looks patriotic, too!
Pants in a red or blue with a cute shirt is always a classic choice.
Accessorizing with a great scarf...
...or fun shoes!
You can't go wrong with the cut-off shorts and white top look....
Or a red, white, and blue plaid shirt and a beautiful smile!
And then there is the "we are siblings, so we have to match/coordinate" style.
This is that rare shot of the older sibling being happy about the matching outfits, and the younger one looking angry. (These are my nieces. Jeannie is always smiling and Beatrice NEVER looks happy in pictures, so it might not have anything to do with the outfits.)
In case you have something very fancy, like a wedding, a gala, or get a last minute invite to the White House.
I just hope you happen to have clothes like this in your closet if you get invited last-minute to the White House.
If all else fails, just wrap yourself in an American Flag
Just don't let it touch the ground!
