Field of Flags 2015

On Wed. July 15th, 2015, in conjunction with Byron Good Neighbor Days, S.O.S.-Support our Soldiers and the Byron American Legion Auxiliary will host the 3rd annual Field of Flags at 1128 4th St NW, Byron, Minnesota. 

The Field of Flags is a spectacular visual display of American flags. The 3' x 5' flags stand 8 feet, in perfect rows and columns, across a field of green. The field is set-up so that visitors can walk among the flags, reading dedications and reflecting upon personal heroes. 

S.O.S.-Support our Soldiers and the Legion Auxiliary invite you to join us to show support for your hero. Become a part of this community event by dedicating a flag that will stand proudly in the Field of Flags.

This is an opportunity for us to come together, to remember, to honor, and to support our veterans and other community members. A short program will start at 7pm. The Byron High School Chamber Aires will sing this year!

There will be an Honor Guard to carry your dedicated flag. If you prefer, you may carry it to its designated spot. The Flag will be In Honor Of or In Memory Of. This is a very beautiful and moving ceremony. 

Please bring your lawn chairs or blankets and plan on spending a very memorable evening with us. (f necessary, rain date will be Thurs. the 16th.)

Order flags by calling: Kim McPhee @ 775-6272. They can also be purchased at the Byron American Legion during business hours. The cost to dedicate a flag is $10. After the event we will send you a photo of the Field of Flags and your hero’s dedication card. All proceeds to benefit S.O.S and the Auxiliary Scholarship program.
