We will be having a benefit and silent auction on Sunday, March 13th from 10:30 AM to 2:00 PM at Hosanna Lutheran Church, Mankato, MN.
Braxton was born on December 1, 2015 by an emergency c-section at 37 weeks after we (Corey and Jenny) went into the ER for lack of movement. The doctors had to do CPR as Braxton was not breathing and didn't have a pulse when he was born. He was intubated and transferred to Mayo Rochester where he stayed for five and a half weeks. Braxton was cooled for the first 72 hours to help prevent any further brain damage. He was hooked up to an EEG to monitor seizure activity for a couple weeks. He also had two MRI's that showed severe diffused brain damage. He was able to have his breathing tube removed after four weeks, and we were finally able to come home on hospice on January 7th. Braxton has a feeding tube and is still on several medications to control his seizures. We are enjoying all of the precious time we have left with him making as many memories as we can.
