I take my kids trick-or-treating around Rochester every year. And they always come home with more candy than any kid needs! So, I've always assumed that this was a good place for collecting Halloween treats. But this survey suggests otherwise...

The folks at personal finance website SmartAsset recently created a study of the best places to trick-or-treat in the country, and neither Rochester, nor any city in Minnesota, made their top 25.

The study uses a wide range of data to come up with their list, including the number of kids age 15 or under in a community, the number of single-family dwellings per square mile and, of course, the average Halloween temperature in each city.

And while several Midwestern cities made the top 10, including Kenosha, Wisconsin and two towns in Illinois, not a single Minnesota town is even in the top 25! It's got to be about the weather, right? Do you think they still hold the Halloween blizzard of 1991 against us?

So, what do you think? Is Rochester a good place for kids to trick-or-treat? Or do we all need to pack up and plan on spending Halloween in Kenosha in order to get a first-class trick-or-treating experience?
