Fans are being encouraged to bring their guns tonight for “2nd Amendment Education Night.”

The Rochester Honkers are in Battle Creek, Michigan to take on the Bombers.

Tony Iovieno is the General Manager of that team and said the promotional night is a way to promote gun safety. He says the team will be handing out free trigger locks to fans.

Iovieno told WOOD-TV that extra security is planned and fans attending with firearms won't be allowed to purchase alcohol.

The Honkers are 5-16 on the season.  First pitch for tonight's game in Battle Creek is scheduled for 6:05 p.m. You can hear it on our sister station 1520 The Ticket. The Honkers play Kalamazoo Saturday and Sunday before returning home for a two-game series with the Thunder Bay Border Cats.

Monday is FLY RST NIGHT, where a travel voucher valued at $400.00 will be given away!
