Fatal Car-Train Crash In Dodge Center

One person was killed last night (Saturday) in Dodge Center when the vehicle he was driving collided with a westbound Canadian Pacific Train on 4th Avenue in Dodge Center shortly before 8 o'clock.

According to Dodge County Sheriff Jim Jensen, 56 year old Steven L. Johnson of Dodge Center was pronounced dead at the scene.  A passenger in the car, 27 Adam Grunklee was treated by the Dodge Center Ambulance crew and released.

The Southern Minnesota Regional Medical Examiner's Office and the Canadian Pacific Railroad Police assisted with the crash investigation.  The crash remains under investigation at this time.
