Rochester, MN  (KROC AM News) -  Highway 52 traffic in the Apache Mall area of Rochester was affected Monday afternoon as police responded to a traffic incident.

Turns out to be an apparent fatal medical problem that caused the minor wreck.

The State Patrol says a woman from Dennison was driving on the Highway 52 west frontage road near the 12th St overpass when she suffered the medical problem and apparently became unresponsive. Her car went through the fence and across the exit ramp to 12th St, crossed the southbound lanes of Highway 52 and then came to a stop against the median barrier.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. She has been identified as 74-year-old Norma Lee Harmon.

The incident happened around 5 p.m.
