Flooding Not Amusing For Amusement Park
Pretty much the whole state of Minnesota is dealing with water damage of some sort after several days of torrential rain. Governor Dayton has declared Emergency Assistance for 35 counties in Minnesota. The family and I are planning a trip to Valleyfair for my little sister's birthday, and it sounds like there will be more water rides this year including a pool in the parking lot. Ok, just kidding. The park is still open, but unfortunately because of the flooding, 3 roller coasters are closed - Renegade, Excalibur and Thunder Canyon. Because of the parking lot issues, Valleyfair officials are offering free shuttle services, and asking that you carpool if possible. The roller coasters will reopen after safety checks are complete. Check it out:
I will make sure to take pictures of the park on Sunday!
