For the First Time in History Mayo Clinic Is Number 1

U.S. News & World Report has published its annual rankings of the nation's best hospitals.

The rankings cover nearly 5,000 medical centers across the US.  Just 17 hospitals made this year's honor roll list.

For the first time ever, Mayo Clinic has claimed the top spot. Massachusetts General Hospital and Johns Hopkins Hospital were second and third respectively.
