Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - The longtime owner of the former Michaels Restaurant in Rochester has died.

Charles Pappas passed away Saturday.  He was 92.

Pappas was a familiar face at his family’s downtown Rochester restaurant for decades. It shut down at the end of 2014 after 63 years of business.

His funeral will be held at St John the Evangelist Catholic Church next Tuesday.

There will be two visitations. The first will be Monday from 4:00-7:00 PM at River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home. The second one will be held Tuesday at the church, beginning one hour before the funeral.
