Friday Upgraded to Winter Storm Warning for Southeast Minnesota

Expect dangerous wind chills in the -15 to -30 range this morning and heavy snow on Friday.

A wind chill advisory remains in effect today until 9 a.m. A Winter Storm Warning will go into effect at noon on Friday to 6 p.m. on Saturday. The National Weather Service in La Crosses says snow will start falling around noon on Friday and continue throughout the evening and Saturday. The heaviest snow will occur on Friday night.

* TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 6 TO 9 INCHES ARE EXPECTED.

Driving conditions will be dangerous. Motorists should plan ahead. Adjust your travel schedule if possible to avoid driving through this storm - especially Friday night when heavy snow and windy conditions will create poor visibility and snow covered roads.
